The challenge
RF cooking is fast and powerful—but unfamiliar to most operators. ITW needed the interface to translate new technology into intuitive workflows, enabling chefs to harness the oven’s full potential with minimal training. The design also had to reflect the oven’s premium positioning and integrate seamlessly into modern commercial kitchen environments.

Elevator was tasked with designing the overall UX, visual interface, and system architecture for the IBEX experience. This included full OS design—defining workflows, user modes, configurable settings, admin tools, and feedback systems. The result is a streamlined experience that supports both novice and expert users as it reinforces the sophistication behind the new RF technology.
